Modi urges government for extensive propagation of vaccination programme

Patna, Jun 20 (Agency) Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP member of Rajya Sabha Sushil Kumar Modi today urged Nitish Kumar government for extensive propagation to accelerate the pace of vaccination. Mr Modi tweeted that he had visited two vaccination centres at Kanpa Baghakol in Bikramganj block of Patna district and arrangements made there, was found to be satisfactory. Despite good arrangement made there, vaccination rate was very slow as people were not aware about such facilities made available to them, he added.

BJP leader said that during his visit, he felt that lack of information and awareness among the people about vaccination was the reason behind low turn out of people at vaccination centre. Government should make concrete arrangements for extensive propagation to make aware people for getting vaccinated, he added. Mr Modi said that Director of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Dr Randeep Guleria had cautioned fot possibility of third wave of Corona pandemic and in such a situation people should strictly follow the Corona guidelines besides getting vaccinated. It was responsibility of elected representatives to share their photos getting fascinated to encourage people to take vaccine shots as soon as possible, he added.
