Maharashtra has the strength to face economic challenges & will overcome them: Pawar

Mumbai, Mar 2 (Representative) Maharashtra state deputy chief and finance minister Ajit Pawar said on Friday that the financial condition of the state is good and Maharashtra definitely has the strength to face the financial challenges. The goal of making Maharashtra a Rs 1 trillion economy will be achieved within the stipulated time. Planning has been done in this regard, and measures are being taken to increase the revenue income of the state. He said to avoid unnecessary expenses while maintaining financial discipline. While replying to the debate on the budget in the Legislative Assembly, Pawar said that through such measures and an action program, the economic challenges facing the state will be successfully overcome. Replying to the points raised by members of the Assembly, we have made provision in the interim budget for the development of pilgrimage sites in the state. Devotees from all over the state visit Jyotiba Devasthanam in Kolhapur for darshan.

In reply to the discussion, it was announced that the Jyotiba Devasthan Authority will be established for the development of infrastructure facilities here. It has been decided to give a subsidy of Rs 5 per liter to the milk-producing farmers in the state. 1 crore 60 lakh liters of milk are being collected in the state every day, and according to this, 283 crores are required for the subsidy scheme. Out of this, Rs 204 crore will be made available through supplementary demand, and the rest through reinvestment. While informing students about the important schemes, Pawar has increased scholarships for students, including the Asha volunteer stipend and the resident doctor’s stipend. He also said that funds have been allocated for ambitious schemes such as relief to farmers who have suffered losses in natural calamities, crop insurance for farmers at one rupee, the Namo Shetkari Samman Fund, and happiness rations for the poor and needy. Already started implementing the schemes announced in the budget. Supplementary demands have been submitted for the funds required for those and additional schemes,added Pawar.
