Maha Govt to change life of common people: Shinde

Thane, Mar 4 (Agency) The Maharashtra government is a government of the common people which has brought about change in the lives of common people, asserted Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday. Speaking at ‘Shasan Apalya Dari’ event organised in Kalyan town of the district, he said that this is a people-oriented initiative and the aim of this scheme is to bring about change in the lives of common people. “This government is the government of poor, labourers, farmers and to give justice to them, we have taken this programme across the state on a large-scale to bring the scheme directly to the beneficiaries through ‘Shasan Apalya Dari’,” he said. From April 15, 2023, a total of 45,42,673 beneficiaries have been given the benefit of various government schemes in Thane district under the initiative, he said and informed that today, 20,296 beneficiaries will be given various benefits. Once the appeal was made, all the officers and employees of the district administration started working vigorously to provide benefits to as many needy beneficiaries as possible, the Chief Minister said.

Along with personal benefits, collective benefits and various big projects were also started on a war footing, he said. By inaugurating various works such as Samruddhi Highway, Atal Setu, Metro, Maharashtra was brought to the first place in the list of development works, he said.He further said that Maharashtra got the number one award in cleanliness with its Deep Clean Drive. This government has solved the issue of Maratha reservation and is trying in every way for womenempowerment, he said. Maharashtra is developing faster due to great support from the central government, Shinde said. The government is now organising “Namo Maha Rozgar” Mela for unemployed on March 6 and 7 in Thane district, he said. In this employment fair, unemployed youths will be given jobs on the spot, he added.
