Mumbai Aug 19 (Agency) Maharashtra cabinet on Friday gave the nod to a Rs 5000 crore proposal for connecting all tribal palaces and hamlets in the 17 districts of the state with the main road under the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jod road scheme. The state cabinet meeting here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Apart from approving the road connectivity proposal, also took other important decisions including providing ration kit namely ‘Anandacha Sida’ at Rs 100 for the upcoming Ganapati and Diwali festivals.
The card holders will get a ration of one kg each of semolina, chana dal, sugar and cooking oil. The state cabinet has also decided to substantially increase the tuition fees for artisan apprentices in ITIs, from the existing Rs 400 to Rs. 500 per month. The Cabinet also gave the permission for the redevelopment of the Mumbai Press Club, repealed the Maharashtra Casino Act, Nutrition campaign program in the state as per instructions of the Centre in which the state’s share will increase.
