‘Knowledge of Vedas should reach common people’

Pune / New Delhi, Sep 5 (Bureau) To keep the faith alive in the society today, the knowledge of the Vedas should be conveyed to the common people”, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat said Even though there is no place for untouchability, he said and questioned why there was the discrimination. He was speaking at the Vedsevak Samman function organized by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Thirthakshetra Nyas and Shri Sadguru Group Pune at Balgandharva Rangmandir on Wednesday evening. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Champatarai Bansal, Secretary General of Trust, Founder of Bharat Vikas Group Dr. Hanmantrao Gaikwad and Abhijit Pawar, Managing Director of Sakal Media Group, Sadguru Groupb Founder President Yashwant Kulkarni was present.

Dr. Bhagwat said, “India, the land of the Vedas, is rich in diversity of language and worship. Though our existence may seem different, we are all bound together. In fact, this diversity is not an expression of one truth. Our national life is to bring happiness to the whole world.” Apathy has increased in the society and Bangladesh is the not first example of cultural degradation, the RSS Chief said. He said America, Poland and Arab countries have experienced this before. The middle powers have come to India to ignite discord in the society and burn the nest of selfishness, and we have to respond to it through our own knowledge. For that, we should awaken our own knowledge and follow the discipline of tradition and constitution, he added.
