India’s ascendance to superpower status: RK Singh

Hyderabad / New Delhi, Jan 13 (FN Bureau) RK Singh, the Union Minister for Power, New & Renewable Energy, highlighted India’s imminent status as a superpower in every facet, underscoring the country’s growth and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The minister expressed these sentiments during his participation in the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Hylam Colony Jubilee Hills, and Bagh Lingampally, Sundaraiah Park, here on Saturday. Asserting the Union Government’s unwavering commitment to bringing development to the doorstep of every poor family, Minister Singh stressed the significance of the yatra in creating awareness about central government schemes aimed at fostering prosperity.

He encouraged those who may have missed out on these schemes to apply and avail themselves of the associated benefits, presenting them as a tremendous opportunity for individuals to improve their lives through government initiatives. Addressing the participants at the two events, the minister highlighted India’s growth trajectory under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, positioning the nation as a burgeoning superpower. He specifically noted the beneficiaries of various schemes under the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, emphasising their focus on the poor and economically weaker sections of society. Singh drew attention to key government initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Swanidhi Yojana, Jeevan Jyothy Bima Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and the provision of 5 kg of free rations for 5 years to all poor people in India. These schemes are designed to uplift economically weaker sections and ensure their access to affordable housing, health insurance, business loans, insurance coverage, and free rations.

Speaking about national security, Singh proudly declared that India, now the 5th largest power in the world, has successfully deterred terrorist attacks from enemies like Pakistan and China. He reiterated the government’s core philosophies of strengthening the nation and alleviating poverty, emphasising the importance of every poor person having access to essentials such as food, electricity, and water. The minister disclosed that the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has witnessed the participation of approximately 12 crore individuals across the country. Additionally, he flagged off the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vehicle and unveiled IEC material from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, providing information about various central government schemes. The minister also visited various central government stalls set up at the programme.
