Hyderabad, Feb 24 (Agency) Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Renewable Energy Bhagawanth Khuba on Friday said that India will become “Vishwa Guru ” and World’s Number one country by 2047. Speaking at the 10th convocation of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) here, the Union Minister elaborated on the role and achievements of the Indian Pharmaceutical sector in past few years especially during covid -19 pandemic. He also emphasised the importance of translating research into real life applications and industrialization of the products.
“Our prime minister (Narendra Modi) has set a target of achieving the status of USD 42 trillion economy by the year 2047 in the ongoing Amrit kaal. We are confident that India will become world’s number one country by the year 2047” he said. Congratulating the students, the Union Minister also said that India was once called the golden bird and it is now ready to lead the world as a Viswa Guru like in the past in the field of education, spiritualism and culture etc. A total of 187 students, among them 25 Ph.D., 162 M.S. (Pharm.) and M.B.A (Pharm.) students were awarded their degrees during the convocation. Gold medals were given to Yadav Vishal Fayanath (MC), Ankita Sahebrao Khairnar (PA), Tentu Priya Mounika (PC), K Kavya Praharsha (RT), Rimsha Nooreen (PE), Girase Pradeep Nanabhau (PTPC), Donna Mol Sunny (PM), and Gundelli Panisha (MD). Director Medal for Best All Rounder Student was given to Ms. Safiya Sultana for the batch of 2020-22.
