New Delhi, May 27 (FN Representative) Heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi-NCR with gusty wind and thunderstorms on Saturday morning, bringing the minimum temperature to 19.3 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted pleasant weather to continue for the next three to four days.In its latest bulletin IMD said the cluster of clouds still moving from Haryana & adjoining north Rajasthan to West Uttar Pradesh across Delhi and would take another 02 hours to cross Delhi-NCR.”Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm (wind 30-60 kmph) would continue over many parts of Delhi-NCR & Haryana during the next 02 hours and over northeast Rajasthan during the next 2-3 hours and West Uttar Pradesh during the next 3-4 hours” IMD tweet.
The Maximum temperature on Friday is likely to be settled at around 32 degrees Celsius as per IMD.On Friday, the maximum temperature in Delhi settled at 34.5 degrees Celsius, five notches below normal.There will be no heatwave conditions till May 30, the IMD said.Meanwhile, Waterlogging was witnessed in several parts of Delhi after the rainfall.The sudden change in weather is expected to bring respite from the hot weather conditions prevailing over North India.The Delhi airport stated that flight operations were impacted due to the bad weather.The authority has also released a circular informing all flyers to contact their respective airlines for updated flight information as bad weather has disrupted the operations.According to Delhi airport sources, four flights headed for Delhi have been diverted to Jaipur due to weather conditions in the national capital.
