Pune, Oct 5 (Agency) With long nationwide lockdowns due to coronavirus pandemic taking a toll on people especially on women who don’t get time for themselves from familial and professional commitments, the duo of Shyamal Mondal and Sharmila Kamat, founders of online fitness community called ‘Get That Fit Feeling’, have now started ‘ZeroToOne’, a programme directed more specifically towards women, following encouraging response to their online ‘JantaWorkout’ sessions. The best part about the ‘ZeroToOne’ programme is that it is a 30-minute workout session that women can do at any time and place as per their convenience, said a press release here on Tuesday.
This programme also includes special interactive fitness and wellness sessions, where the mentors discuss practical strategies for overcoming the common barriers to fitness such as lack of time, boredom, or even the thought of exercising alone. This programme has weekly Facebook live sessions as well as recorded Youtube videos. Focusing on mental wellbeing and exercises, these videos are uploaded every week. It is offered in quarterly, half-yearly and yearly terms, Speaking about the initiative, Mondal said, “My motto and advice for the people who want to be fit, physically and mentally, is ‘Motivate the mind, the body will follow. Since the womenfolk are focused on their children, family, working from home, we decided to motivate their minds and start their basic exercise regimen.” Kamat added, “The lockdown, taking care of the family and managing work from homemade the women forget themselves, their physical, mental and also their emotional health. To give 100 per cent to them all, she has to be 100 percent herself. That’s why we created ‘ZeroToOne, a first of its kind fitness programme for women.”
