Five MoUs worth Rs 200 crore signed at Himachal Drone Conclave

Palampur, July 6 (Representative) Five Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 200 crore were signed at the Himachal Drone conclave here on Wednesday. one of the MoUs was inked with FICCI to promote the use of drones in the administration. Additionally, Abecode Technologies Pvt Ltd and Dronetech Solutions Pvt Ltd signed an MoU for investment in Himachal Pradesh, Skyair entered into a pact for unmanned traffic management solutions for monitoring flight operations, Department of Digital Technologies and Governance, CSKHPKV and IIT Ropar decided to cooperate focusng on areas such as artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital entomology, livestock management, cold chain management, Internet of Things (IoT) and agriculture including drone technology.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu joined virtually from Chandigarh in the closing ceremony of North India’s first Himachal Drone Conclave organized at Palampur in district Kangra. He stressed on promoting information technology driven administration in the state with the objective of benefiting the people. He said that drone technology would play an important role in various sectors including law and order monitoring besides benefiting farmers, horticulturists. The Chief Minister said that the government was committed to useing modern technology like artificial intelligence to further improve the administration. He said by adopting advanced information technology, the state is moving ahead on the path of transformational changes in the technical sector.
