FinTech Festival India 2021-22 to host 10 ‘Micro Experience Conferences’ in eight cities

Hyderabad, Jul 30 (FN Representative) FinTech Festival India (FFI) 2021-22 organised by Constellar (a subsidiary of TEMASEK and Singapore Press Holdings), will be conducted in physical and digital format in 10 Micro Experience Conferences in eight cities followed by 3-day mega event in New Delhi from Mar 9 to 11, 2022. Making FinTech foundational to the national discourse on financial literacy and inclusion, Niti Aayog and six central government ministries have come together to support event to be held over the next 8-months , which will witness participation from over 500 Indian and global leaders and 12,000+ delegates, FFI said in a release here.

The inaugural Micro Experience was launched in Hyderabad on Friday ,which was attended by leading industry speakers such as Anand Kumar Bajaj, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, PayNearby, Manish Bhatia, President – Technology, Analytics and Capabilities, Lendingkart, Vijay Aggarwal, Chief Technology Officer, BharatPe, Abhishek Chandra, Chief Technology Officer, IIFL Wealth Management, Vineeth Narasimhan, Founder/Chief Technology Officer, Kristal.AI and Nath Parameshwaran, Senior Director, Corporate Affairs, India and South Asia, PayPal among others. A white paper on ‘Hyderabad – The emerging Start-up Hub in India’ was also unveiled on the occasion. Published by Ernst and Young (EY), Knowledge Partner of FFI, the white paper deep-dives into the startup and fintech ecosystem of Telangana and Hyderabad.

It provides insights into the regulatory framework in the state, institutional support, capacity enhancement opportunities , which will propel Telangana to become a key startup and FinTech hub in India in the near future. FFI will see participation from Brazil, Israel, UK, Russia, Canada, Finland, Japan, Singapore among others. The event will be held in Bengaluru, Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Mumbai, Gift City (Ahmedabad) and Pune and it will end with a 3-day mega event in New Delhi. The initiative is supported by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), Startup India (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and Invest India), Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited , The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority and Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited. Speaking on the occasion, Constellar Country head and General Manager Baldeep Singh Pahwa, said, “India’s FinTech ecosystem is pivotal to realizing our goal of a $5 trillion economy. The event will act as a mega stage for Indian FinTech ecosystem to foster innovation and enhance collaborations within the industry.
