Lucknow, Nov 2 (FN Representative) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said over 4.50 lakh youths had got government jobs through a transparent recruitment process in the state in the last four and a half years of his regime. “Because of the honest, fair and transparent work culture, the state is progressing fast and is soon going to become the country’s biggest economy,” he claimed. “UP’s economy, which was in 6th position in the country for four and a half years, is India’s second biggest economy today. If we work in the same pure and transparent manner, then Uttar Pradesh will become ‘Number One’ economy in the country soon,” Yogi Adityanath pointed out while addressing a gathering after handing over appointment letters to newly recruited Assistant Engineers through the Public Service Commission in the Housing and Urban Planning Department.
Thirty three of the total selected electrical, civil and mechanical engineers received the appointment letters from the CM himself. Congratulating the newly recruited engineers, the Chief Minister said the BJP-led UP government has given more jobs in government departments or in the private sector in these four and a half years than in the last 15 years. Not a single finger can be pointed at any recruitment. The youths recruited through a transparent process are expected to work honestly and devote themselves completely to the development of the state. “From appointment to selection, the government was monitoring the entire process from examination,” said Yogi. The Housing and Urban Planning Department is the most important department of the country at this time, because the department is working on a war footing for urban development. “Till now the work of Rapid Metro Rail, Amrut Jal Project is being done through the Housing Development Department. The work of Kanpur Metro is in its final stage and it is going to be inaugurated soon.” In such a situation, there is a large scope to work, it is necessary to have innovative thinking and sincere effort, he added. Taking a jibe at the previous governments, the CM said once upon a time the development authorities of the state had become centres of corruption. Even passing a map of the house was a difficult task.
The common man was very upset. We made a big difference by deploying good officers, organizing special camps to solve the problem, fixing the deadline for the work and as a result, even the common man is saying that good work is being done in the development authorities. Referring to his visit to Moradabad, he also gave information about the affordable housing project under construction there and said that such innovative efforts are the demand of today. The CM said that several cities had large populations which were not only settled illegally, but there was a lot of filth. The government started the housing scheme by duly mapping such settlements. Now they are getting home and staying healthy. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that by using technology, our government has resolved the cases pending for many years in the development authorities within six months. People gave me feedback that the work is going very well. He also said Uttar Pradesh, which was in the 16th or the 17th position in the national rankings earlier, is now second in the ease of doing business.
