Delhi records 93 COVID-19 cases, two deaths

New Delhi, Jul 2 (FN Agency) Delhi registered 93 cases of COVID-19 and two deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Sunday. The positivity rate in the National Capital is 0.13 per cent while the fatality rate stands at 1.74 per cent. The active cases have come down to 1,041 as a total of 407 patients also recovered during the past 24 hours. The fresh cases came from a total of 73,567 tests, comprising 51,317 RT PCR/CBNAAT/True Nat and 22,248 rapid antigen tests, conducted in the last 24 hours. The total cases in Delhi have reached 14,34,374 while the death toll has surged to 24,983.

As per the official data, 14,585 COVID beds are available in hospitals, 6,277 in dedicated COVID Care Centre, and 626 in dedicated COVID Health Care Centres. The health bulletin said 1,57,728 beneficiaries were vaccinated during the past 24 hours, which included 1,25,769 first dose recipients and 31,959 who were administered with a second dose. Delhi had recorded its highest single-day spike of 28,395 COVID-19 cases on April 20.
