New Delhi, Oct 31 (Bureau) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the youth of India can make the country strong with its innovation, research, and efficiency. The youth of the country are new pioneers in building a new India. While virtually addressing the first convocation of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota, Birla today said that youth of the country need to work tirelessly to bring about a change in the socio-economic life of crores of people of the country. Self-confidence, self-power and ability will show students their right path. He exhorted the youth that as a technocrat it is their responsibility to keep our country ready for every change and for this they have to use their creative talent by working with new genres, new ideas and new behaviours. Emphasising on nation building through youth power, Birla said that the youth of India can make the country strong with their innovation, research and efficiency. Referring to the making of New India, he said that the youth of the country are the forerunners of New India.
Touching upon the world-class contribution by Indian youth, Birla said that today the youth of the country are in leadership roles of the best companies across the globe, which shows that our students are the best in the world in talent, hard work and ability. Birla said that self-reliance is necessary even in a connected and interdependent world. He further said that the collective power of the students is giving a new impetus to the creation of a self-reliant India. Advising youth to work for the development of the last person of the society, Birla said that there is a need to strengthen the rural economy to make the country self-reliant. He said that the youth need to work in the agri sector and for this there is a need for tech-enabled solutions. He expressed hope that Kota would soon emerge as an IT hub in the country through extensive infrastructure, human resource, rail and road connectivity in the times to come. Birla expressed confidence that soon IIT Kota would have its own fully equipped campus.
