CM Gehlot lays foundation stone of new Raj House

New Delhi/Jaipur May 30 (Representative) Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot on Monday laid the foundation stone for the new Rajasthan House on Prithviraj Road in New Delhi amid Vedic rituals.Shri Gehlot on this occasion said that that the reconstruction of the historical Rajasthan House has been our priority.Guests from Rajasthan coming to Delhi will get high level facilities with the New House. The reconstruction of the state guest house will beautifully incorporate the artistic architectural style that represents the rich heritage of Rajasthan.He said that the state government is strengthening historical and important buildings such as Circuit Houses, Dak Bungalows including in the state including Rajasthan, Bikaner House.Shri Gehlot said that our thinking is that democracy gets strengthened and the country runs according to the Constitution.Accordingly, the budget announcements were made to fill the gap between the rich and poor in the state.

The concept of providing relief from inflation is being fulfilled through Mehangai Rahat Camps.He said that the state government has set record in all round development of the state including water, education, roads and health. The new Rajasthan House Resident Commissioner Shri Dheeraj Shrivastava said that the spirit, culture and tradition of the state have been coordinated prominently with the basic elements and architectural materials of Rajasthan style in the planning of the construction of this building.He said that the design of the new Rajasthan House also incorporates eco-friendly features such as a green concept, water harvesting, solar system, and waste management system.The Rajasthan House is the government guest house of the Rajasthan government situated in the ‘Lutyens Zone’ of New Delhi, spread on an area of 7050 square meters. It will feature two basements, a ground and six upper floors, with provision for parking in the basement.

The main building will include a lobby, cafeteria, waiting area, dining area, fountain, hanging chandelier, and atrium.Shri Shrivastava said that Nehru Youth Transit Hostel and Facility Centre is being built for the facility of students coming from different parts of Rajasthan to Delhi for preparation of competitive examinations.The Bikaner House is also being developed as an internationally recognized Art and Cultural Centre.Public Works Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Jatav, MLA Shri Wajib Ali, Chief Secretary Smt. Usha Sharma, Medical and Health Department Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Shubra Singh, Finance Department Additional Chief Secretary Shri Akhil Arora and other senior officers and general public were present on the foundation stone laying function.
