New Delhi, Jan 23 (Representative) Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal on Sunday termed the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra-led by MP Rahul Gandhi as “historic” and said that the yatra has spread his message of love and unity among citizens of the country. “The Bharat Jodo Yatra has received an overwhelming response from millions of people and has spread Rahul Gandhi’s message of love and unity among citizens of the country,” the Congress general secretary in-charge of Organisation said in a statement. The tremendous support from all sections of the society and heartful involvement of the people has made this a ‘historic’ Yatra and a ‘game changer’ in Indian politics, he asserted. The Congress MP further said, “The Bharat Jodo Yatra which started in Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) on 7th September 7 last year, will conclude on January 30 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar after having covered 3,970 kms, 12 states and 2 Union Territories.
“To mark the culmination of Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will hoist the National Flag at PCC headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar on January 30, Venugopal informed. The senior Congress leader also informed that the party president Mallikarjun Kharge has directed all Pradesh Congress Committees, District and Block Congress Committees to hold flag hoisting function on the same day at their respective party offices or important sites, in solidarity with the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Kharge has invited presidents of over 20 like-minded parties to join the concluding function of the Bharat Jodo Yatra .
