Guwahati, Dec 8 (Agency) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday handed over Literary Pension 2023 to 23 eminent litterateurs of the state. The pension is being given Oon the occasion of the birth anniversary of noted litterateur Homen Borgohain, Speaking on the occasion, Sarma recalled the contributions of the Late Homen Borgohain and expressed hope that the pension would aid the literary figures. He said the pension is being provided to those who have contributed to the Assamese language and other tribal languages in Assam. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, Education Adviser Noni Gopal Mahanta, and Minister Jayanta Malla Barua attended the meeting.
