IPM India honours Super Heroes and celebrates the spirit of fatherhood

IPM India Wholesale Trading Private Limited (IPM India) celebrates the Super Dads for their relentless dedication and unconditional love, this Father’s Day. The role of a father has evolved over the years. From being ‘the weekend dad’ to ‘the involved father’, they are redefining the journey, every single day. In numerous studies, their positive involvement is associated with children’s higher academic achievement, greater emotional security and higher self-esteem. Similarly, this involvement transforms them to be a productive and an aspirational leader in their workspaces. Interestingly, ‘Fatherhood’ represents a new leadership model in itself. Listening, empathy, kindness and care are the soft skills and leadership behaviours pivotal to developing a new-age work culture, team building and business growth. Sharing his perspective, Alexander Reisch, Managing Director, IPM India, said, “On this occasion, as I reflect, I can easily say that being a parent transforms you, evolves you – how you engage with people, your teams, keeping empathy & compassion at the core of all operations. Fatherhood taught me how to plan for the unexpected and strike a healthy balance & compromise when the situation demands for it. As a business leader and a father, my biggest learning was to never give up and to always be prepared to shift your strategy when life or business throws you a curve ball. At IPM India, we continue to focus on transformation for a future ready organization. Achieving gender balance at all levels of the company is one of our top priorities. In line with this, it is our constant endeavour to design policies to support and empower fathers in being able to contribute equally to their personal and professional lives.”

Jasneet Kaur, Director People & Culture, IPM India said, “A diverse and inclusive environment establishes a sense of belonging among employees. At IPM India, we believe in constantly evolving and adopting best practices to address the needs and aspirations of a diverse global workforce. To encourage fathers, balance their personal and professional lives, the ‘Circle In’ platform was introduced. This platform supports employees with their caregiving & parental responsibilities, at each stage of their parenthood journey. The platform encompasses tools and stories to enhance productivity, physical & mental well-being and engagement. Further, a parental leave option for all caregivers to focus on their new-born or newly adopted child is also provided.” On the occasion of Father’s Day, Super Dads of IPM India, open up about their journey to become a father and share learnings from fatherhood. Mayank Agarwal, Manager Business Planning, IPM India said, “I am a father to a wonderful son who will soon turn 6. Watching my kid grow and learn has been an enriching and rewarding experience. As I reflect back, I realise the role we play as parents in shaping up their personality. This has also brought a lot of changes in self and equally impacted my professional journey in a positive manner. As a leader, I have learnt to be more patient, appreciate others, celebrate small wins and become a responsible leader.”

Sharing his perspective, Nitin Govind, Manager Brand Engagement, IPM India said, “As a father, I am committed to providing my children with exposure to diverse experiences, developing their ability, make informed decisions for themselves as confident individuals. While leading people at work I have a similar strategy – focus on enhanced learning and development and empower people to go after achieving meaningful goals. Being a progressive new-age organization, IPM is mindful of fathers’ commitments towards their children, and ensures that it is accommodated for through a structured employee friendly policy framework.” Ruchir Verma, Manager Trade Development, IPM India said, “Being a father has been one of the most fulfilling roles in my life. I strongly believe that as you grow in life, both personal and professional lives become intertwined and the learnings from personal life become important leadership lessons. Fatherhood teaches you to be more empathetic, agile and entrusts you with responsibility to lead by example. IPM India’s philosophy to build an advanced and people first organization goes that extra mile in ensuring a perfect work life balance.” Sharing his views, Vaibhav Kashyap, Business Partner People & Culture, IPM India said, “When you are on the skids on personal front, you look up to your organization to lend that extra hand. If that happens, true loyalty invigorates. This April, when our new-born daughter was hospitalized – my manager and the team truly stepped up in support and showed utmost care. As a month-old employee, without having made deep personal connects – this felt extremely heartwarming and something that my family will remember forever.”
