The two-day Global Tech summit 2023, kicked off in Visakhapatnam on Thursday to discuss the emerging technologies and solutions to counter emerging challenges in various sectors in future. The aim of the two-day Tech summit is also to bring the brightest minds from the tech industry to discuss the latest trends and advancements in the technology sector. Speaking at the first day of the event, Gudivada Amarnath, Minister for, Information and communication of Andhra Pradesh said that the government is working round the clock to make the “City of Destiny” the second most hub of technology in the country after Bangalore. He said the Andha Pradesh government has already identified three places, in the state where the IT Park will be established, including Vishakapatnam.
“With the rapid advancements in technology, automation and artificial intelligence are becoming more prevalent in the workplace” He said that this is leading to the creation of new jobs in fields like data analysis, software development, and cybersecurity. He however added that, it is also leading to the displacement of workers in industries like manufacturing, retail, and transportation. ‘As a result, it is crucial that we prepare our workforce for the changing demands of the job market and equip them with the skills they need to succeed in the future” he said. Addressing the gathering, Health and Family Minister Vidadala Rajini said that the digital technology has transformed the way we live, work, and learn and now, it is transforming the way we approach healthcare and medical education. “Digital health has the potential to improve healthcare outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the overall patient experience” she said.
The Health Minister said that one of the most significant benefits of digital health is the ability to provide personalized and remote care to patients, which includes telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and virtual consultations”. Calling the technology has played “unprecedented advancement” in business, Rajanna Dora Peedika, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh said In recent years, one of the most significant changes is the rise of e-commerce. “E-commerce has revolutionized the retail industry, and it has made it possible for businesses to reach customers from all over the world” he said. The two-day summit, which is attended by several ministers, also will bring together the brightest minds from the tech industry to discuss the latest trends and advancements and will have 400 international participants and 25 countries represented by a 1,000-strong delegation, Dr. Srinubabu Gedela, CEO of Pulsus Group and co-convener of the Global Tech Summit, told the press at Visakhapatnam. The Summit is also scheduled across the G20 nations, including Riyadh, Seoul, Tokyo, Rome, Paris, New York, Melbourne, Beijing, London, Tokyo, during the year 2023.
