Russia fired 6 missiles and conducted 4 air strikes on Ukraine: General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine
Kyiv, Feb 28 (Agency) Ukraine’s military on Monday said that Russian occupiers fired six missiles (up to 30 missiles) and four air strikes, mostly from the airspace of the Republic of Belarus on Sunday. “The enemy continues the offensive operation against Ukraine with the support of operational-tactical and army aircraft using high-precision long-range weapons,” the General Staff of The Armed Forces of Ukraine said on its official Facebook page. “Since the beginning of the open aggression, the enemy has used about 180 Iskander cruise and operational-tactical missiles. The air and space forces of the Russian Armed Forces are on duty in the airspace of the Republic of Belarus. The airfield network of the Republic of Belarus is used for transportation of personnel and cargo. There is a high probability of using the armed forces of Belarus,” he added.
He said in Polissya, the enemy suffered significant losses and is trying to replenish them at the expense of airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces. He said Russia has completed the regrouping in the Seversky direction and is trying to continue the offensive in the Chernihiv-KYIV direction. It carries out defence of bases and ports of Odessa, South, Ochakiv and Chornomorsk from the sea direction.
