India aides Bangladesh with three life-support ambulances

Dhaka, Oct 29 (FN Agency) India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram K Doraiswami handed over three life-support ambulances to a general hospital and two health complexes on Friday. The ambulances have been provided to 250 bedded General Hospital in Brahmanbaria, Upazila Health Complex at Akhaura and Upazila Parishad Auditorium at Kasba. The ambulances are fitted with modern and critical life-saving equipment and can be used by paramedics and first responders to provide quality emergency care and trauma life support to patients en-route to the hospital for treatment.

“These Ambulances are part of the overall programme for supply of 109 Life Support Ambulances, as announced by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi during his visit to Bangladesh in March this year,” the Bangladesh government said. Bangladesh’s Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Anisul Huq was present as Chief Guest in the event along with Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen who was present as a special guest.
