Islamabad, May 16 (Bureau) PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday reiterated the threat to his life asking his supporters to “get justice for him and our country in case something happens to me”, Dawn reported. Khan who addressed a huge party rally at Faisalabad, once again claimed that he had recorded a video naming all those people conspiring to kill him and said “I’ve recorded a video because I know Pakistan’s history. It tells us our justice system can’t apprehend powerful criminals, so I leave it to the people. If something happens to me, then the nation will have to get me justice,” Imran said at a huge public rally in Faisalabad. He also asked the crowd to make a pact that they would “never accept slavery” and “never vote for a party whose leaders’ have stashed the country’s money abroad”. Such politicians, he said, could not be trusted to safeguard the country’s interests since their possessions were abroad and their priorities lay elsewhere. Lashing out at the PMLN-led coalition government, Khan claimed that they were taking the country “towards destruction”, especially targeting Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto saying that he will soon be going to the United Statesto “beg” for money and “use my name to scare them”.
Warning that American help would come with stringent conditions, Imran said Pakistan could very well be asked to “serve India, forget about the Kashmir and Palestine causes and back out of business transactions with Russia and Iran”. Earlier, Imran questioned the PML-N-led coalition government’s ability to manage the economy if it could handle the economy, pointing to the sliding rupee against the dollar, the stock market being under pressure and continuing soaring inflation. Lashing out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, Imran alleged that as soon as Shehbaz took charge as the prime minister, he removed all Federal Investigation Agency officers who were pursuing the money laundering case against him and his sons. Imran also repeated his claim about the circumstances surrounding the death of former FIA director Mohammad Rizwan, who was probing money laundering charges against him, claiming that Rizwan had died from a heart attack due to “immense pressure” he faced from Punjab CM Hamza. The PTI chairman claimed that another FIA officer involved in the case had also suffered a heart attack.
