London, Jan 19 (Agency) British pop star Britney Spear is once more in the eye of a family drama albeit all in the public domain after her tongue lashing at her mother and sister. In her since-deleted Instagram post, the 40-year-old singer–songwriter slammed sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, for seemingly having gotten a cushier upbringing and a starring role on TV when she was just a child. The post seemed to be in retaliation to her sister’s podcast where she presented her side of the story, telling fans how they handled the mess they were left in after her older sister’s break-up. The singer lambasted her mother Lynne Spears for her lack of support during her breakup with Justin Timberlake. In the lengthy social media post Britney said: “I flew home to Jamie Lynn on the couch watching her tv shows right after Justin and I broke up… I was a ghost there!.” Britney’s message, which was shared on January 18, thus began. “I had worked my whole life and I didn’t know how to be served by Mamma …
“Sit there and get served the chocolate milkshakes with the perfectly crushed ice with the secret chunky sugar meanwhile Jamie Lynn is 12, she indulges with the TV for hours then goes to lay out on a raft at the pool … I’m in shock because this was never my life !!!!” She said: “Justin’s family was all I knew for many years … Things were different now and Jamie Lynn had a new Nickelodeon show … All I remember saying was ‘DAMN !!!,” she said. “How the hell does a 12 year old land a Nickelodeon show ????’ ….. HMMMMMMMM …. Well I never got my iced chocolate drink “I mean yeah … I’m grown up right ??? But then maybe I might need a little support … It was a People Magazine cover … The people show up and as Jamie Lynn says, I was scared !!!! ,” she went on with expletives. The 90s pop queen also claimed that her mother Lynne was incapacitated by medication when she returned home.
“My Mamma was on pain medication and could barely hold a conversation in the house because her and my dad (Jamie Spears) split and she was more messed up than anything !!!! I remember her sitting on the floor in a conversation and she never got up…” Britney Spears, however, dismissed her sister’s claims saying that she felt like slapping her sister and her mother. Spears reserved her harshest words for her sister and mother at the conclusion of her lengthy caption. ‘I’m sorry Jamie Lynn, I wasn’t strong enough to do what should have been done … slapped you and Mamma right across your … faces !!!!!’ Britney’s post followed Jamie’s reflection on the very public split between her sister and Timberlake. In the first of a two-part interview with the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, aired on January 17, Jamie Lynn opened up about being “so sad” as news broke of her sister and the NSYNC frontman’s split in 2002 after nearly four years of dating. “I think everyone thought it was forever,” Jamie Lynn said. “I was so sad, first off, because my sister was so sad, but that, too, was the first time I saw maybe I didn’t know everything about the relationship. “Perhaps they were protecting me and obviously why would they talk to me about anything. It was really sad, though, seeing my sister be so heartbroken.” The singers were the reigning power couple of the pop world in early 2000. At the time of their breakup, both Justin and Britney were around 21.
