Blinken speaks with Nepal PM Deuba

New Delhi, Jul 27 (Agency) As US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in India on Tuesday on a two-day visit, he spoke with new Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and discussed the advancement of US-Nepal partnership. Minutes after his plane landed in New Delhi, Blinken tweeted: “I had the pleasure to speak with Nepali Prime Minister Deuba today. We discussed the advancement of the U.S.-Nepal partnership including cooperation on our shared fight against COVID-19 and the effects of climate change.” Deuba, 74, became Nepal’s Prime Minister for the fifth time, replacing incumbent K P Sharma Oli.
