B’desh FM displeased over mismanagement at Dhaka airport

Dhaka, July 4 (FN Agency) Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has called on authorities concerned to take necessary steps for mitigating the sufferings of air passengers at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The Minister gave the call after witnessing the agonies of air passengers at the airport on Saturday. He talked to the waiting passengers at luggage belt area of the airport and was briefed of their problems after his return from Portugal. The Minister himself witnessed the veracity of sufferings of waiting passengers for luggage behind the luggage belt.

The passengers were waiting for luggage for two hours.Momen immediately contacted the airport manager, who arrived on the spot and assured him of taking steps for solving the problem of late arrival of luggage. The Minister regretted the issue of stalemate of passengers waiting for luggage for hours at the airport. He termed the incident as disturbing to the passengers.Momen held the mismanagement of airport authorities for the sufferings of passengers, who came to the airport after a long journey. Later, the Minister informed State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mohammad Mahbub Ali, who assured him of reducing the sorrows of passengers and increasing the standard of service.
