Kolkata, Dec 10 (FN Agency) Miraj Cinemas Newtown has organised a special screening of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ for nearly 250 police personnel of the area. The screening was organised with the support of local MLA and minister Sujit Bose and Bidhannagar Police Commissioner Supratim Sarkar. This is the first time in a while a special screening has been organised for the men in uniform in the city. Present in the team were members of Bidhannagar Police, Traffic force, Rapid Force, Women police cadre among others. The police team which related a lot to the film seemed to enjoy the cinema a lot with occasional loud cheering. “I really enjoyed the film. The story is about the kind of work we do every day.
No doubt the film is full of action about entertainment. I’m happy that some of us could manage to take time out from our hectic schedule and watch the film as a team,” said one of the senior police officials present there. Bhuvanesh Mendiratta, Vice President P&L, Miraj Cinemas said, “ We are delighted to organise a special screening, one of the first in the city, for the police force at Miraj Cinemas Newtown. Police Officials never fail to give their hard work and restless service to the people to the society 24X7 even in the Covid times. This was a little attempt from our side to felicitate them.”
