Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Sunny Deol to gang up for Border 2

New Delhi, Jan 18 (Agency) The 1997 cult classic Border is returning with its sequel, which is set to hit the big screen on January 23 next year. The original movie, directed and written by J.P. Dutta and spanning 2 hours and 53 minutes, was set against the tumultuous background of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. It recounted the valiant stand of the Indian soldiers during the Battle of Longewala. The makers of the sequel announced the commencement of filming with a behind-the-scenes picture featuring Varun Dhawan with a clapperboard in his hand, signalling a new journey in the scenic cantonment of Jhansi. In the photo, the actor posed alongside producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, co-producer Shiv Chanana, and director Anurag Singh.
