TN govt announces state film awards for 2015

Chennai, Mar 5 (FN Agency) The Tamil Nadu government has announced the State film awards for the year 2015. The film “Thani Oruvan’ starred by actor Jayam Ravi has been announced as the best film of 2015, while Madhavan and Ms Jyothika has been chosen as the best actor and best actress for the award respectively. While Madhavan has been chosen for his role in ‘Iruthi Sutru’ (Final round), Jyothika was chosen for her role in the film “36 Vayathinile’ (36 years of age) that depicted highly of women. The awards will be distributed on March 6 by Minister for Information and Publicity M.P. Saminathan,an official release said here on Monday evening.

The award winners would be presented a gold medal and cash award. Gowtham Karthik will be given the special prize for best actor for his role in the “film Vai Raja Vai” and Rithika Singh for her role in the film “Iruthi Suttru”, in which Madhavan featured as a boxing coach. The prize for best villain goes to Aravind Swamy, while comedian Singam Puli for his role in Anjukku Onnue and Devadarshini for her role in Thiruttu Kalyanam and 36 Vayathinile get the award for best comedians. Sudha Kongara gets the award for best director and Gibron for the best music director.
