New Delhi, Dec 28 (Agency) Celebrated actress and supermodel Dayle Haddon died due to a suspected carbon monoxide leak at the Pennsylvania residence of her son-in-law, Hallmark actor Marc Blucas, according to a report by People. She was 76. Authorities in Solesbury Town responded to a distress call on Friday, December 27 at 6:30am. Upon arrival, the police found an unconscious 76-year-old man on the first floor of the residence. He was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where he is currently undergoing treatment. Haddon was found unresponsive in a second-floor of the residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement to USA Today, Eliot Gross, the deputy coroner of Bucks County, confirmed her identity and stated that a toxicology report is underway to determine the exact cause of death. Preliminary investigation suggests the incident may be linked to fumes emitted by a malfunctioning boiler.

While other family members residing in the property’s main house were unaffected, two medicos exposed to the noxious gas required hospitalisation and one police officer received on-site treatment. Authorities have stated that the investigation remains ongoing. Haddon rose to prominence in the 1970s as a supermodel, embodying timeless beauty and elegance. She became the face of major cosmetic brands, including Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder, and L’Oréal, and graced the covers of esteemed publications such as Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan. Most notably, she appeared on the cover of the 1973 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, cementing her status as a cultural icon. Haddon also made a mark in Hollywood, starring in notable films such as Disney’s “The World’s Greatest Athlete” and “North Dallas Forty” alongside Nick Nolte.
