New Delhi, Mar 11 (Representative) Amidst an atmosphere of glamour and enthusiasm, the 71st Miss World festival reached its grand finale at the Jio Convention Center in Mumbai, where Krustyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic was crowned the 71st Miss World. The current Miss World, Carolina Bielawska, bestowed this prestigious title in an emotional moment, etching it into the memories of millions worldwide. First runner-up, Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon, was honored throughout the festival for her exceptional qualities, adding depth and diversity to the program. The star-studded finale was co-hosted by former Miss World Megan Young and renowned filmmaker Karan Johar, elevating the grandeur of the event. The evening was further enhanced by stellar performances from acclaimed artists Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar, captivating the audience with their enchanting music.
Having pursued studies in Law and Business Administration, Krustyna, 24, also works as a model. She founded the Krustyna Pyszkova Foundation, continuing to support its work. Her proudest moment was opening an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania, where she also volunteered. Krustyna enjoys playing the transverse flute and violin, having spent nine years at an art academy honing her skills. Expressing her gratitude and excitement, Krustyna Pyszkova said, “Wearing the Miss World crown feels like a dream come true. I feel immensely honored to represent my country and the values of ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ on a global stage. I am thrilled for the year ahead.” The event was specially livestreamed on Sony Liv in India and broadcasted worldwide, mesmerising audiences with a unique blend of beauty, talent, and philanthropy. This year’s event holds special significance as it marks the return of Miss World to India after a span of 28 years, showcasing the deep connection between the country’s rich cultural heritage and the world’s oldest and most prestigious beauty pageant. Starting on February 18, 2024, the festival presented a variety of captivating programs culminating in a magnificent finale in Mumbai. The presence of honored personalities at the Jio Convention Center added to the allure of the event, making it a memorable milestone in Miss World history.
