New Delhi, Jan 27 (Agency) &pictures is all set to premiere the action entertainer ‘Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Agni Pariksha’ on January 28.Directed by Faruk Kabir, the film features Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead. A direct sequel to part one, the film follows the journey of Sameer (Vidyut) and Nargis (Shivaleeka), who after a traumatic chapter in their lives lead a happy life by adopting Nandini, an orphaned niece. But fate soon strikes back hard when Nandini goes missing. Sameer decides to take matters in his own hands as he seeks revenge by hunting the culprits down. This raw, brutal, and intense film is packed with awesome action and daring drama and a gripping narrative that will leave the audience awestruck.
Trained from childhood in Kalaripayattu, one of the oldest and deadliest martial arts in the world whose roots are very much in the Indian subcontinent, Vidyut was born to be an action hero. He pulls off action and stunt sequences like a pro, hardly seen before in Indian cinema. Fans of action are in for a treat as this hero showcases some of his finest action skills in the film. The film also features Sheeba Chaddha as the antagonist. Known for her versatility, uniqueness and acting prowess, Sheeba yet again entertains the audiences with her spine-chilling performance in her villainous role as Thakurji. Talking about performing action stunts in the film, Vidyut said, “Fighting in madness and fighting with skills are different aspects of cinema, Khuda Haafiz 2 is about fighting with madness.
For me Khuda Haafiz-2 action is unique because it is fighting without knowing the art of fighting, where you fight with your heart and mind. Faruk Kabir is a master of his art and knows how to dwell into emotions very well, which is his uniqueness.” Elaborating on her role, Shivaleeka added, “People will be able to see my character Nargis more than just the girl next door. She demonstrates the fortitude of a true woman. The icing on the cake of course, is Vidyut’s excellent performance as the hero, demonstrating his unrefined action talents and featuring numerous hand-to-hand combat scenes. I feel absolutely overwhelmed and we have poured our hearts and souls into creating the sequel, something I believe will be enjoyed by the audience on television too. “The film will premiere on &pictures at 8pm.
