Host Nikki Glaser sneers at Diddy at the Golden Globes

Beverly Hills, Jan 6 (FN Agency) Comedian Nikki Glaser kicked off the 82nd Golden Globe Awards with a sharp, no-holds-barred opening monologue that touched on everything from Hollywood scandals to after-party dynamics. Among the highlights was her pointed humour about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal troubles. In her 11-minute monologue, Glaser quipped about the absence of the music mogul, currently apprehended in Brooklyn’s MDC on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

“Zendaya’s movie “Challengers” is “more sexually charged than a Diddy credit card,” she quipped, eliciting mix of laughter and nervous chuckles from the star-studded audience. Doubling down, she remarked that this year’s after-party would feature fewer “freak-offs,” evoking laughs from Diddy’s former collaborator Stanley Tucci, Glaser added, “there will be more olive oil at the party this year than baby oil”, according to TMZ. The baby oil remark referenced federal allegations that investigators found “1,000 bottles” of the substance during searches of Diddy’s properties. While Diddy has denied all allegations, claiming his encounters were consensual, the shadow of his legal case loomed over the evening. He is set to face trial next May.
