From fans to Bollywood bigwigs, greetings pour in from different quarters for birthday boy SRK
New Delhi, Nov 2 (Agency) As the Badshah of Bollywood turned 56 on Tuesday, greetings poured in from different quarters. Crowds gathered outside his Mannat bungalow just before midnight to wish Shah Rukh Khan. The film fraternity flooded Twitter and Instagram with wishes, while the tallest building of the world, Burj Khalifa, went one step ahead and lit up with visuals from Shah Rukh’s movies and ended it with his name glittering in all colours possible. People from all walks of life gathered outside Mannat last night, just before midnight, to celebrate the birthday of their favourite actor Shah Rukh Khan. SRK, in turn, acknowledged the admiration of his fans and sent them biscuits and water bottles. The skyscraper displayed visuals from Shah Rukh’s various films and lit up in his name, something which it did last year too, when King Khan himself witnessed Burj Khalifa flashing ‘Happy Birthday Shah Rukh Khan’. Shah Rukh even posted a picture of himself posing in front of the building. Renowned Producer-Director and Shah Rukh’s close friend Karan Johar recalled his first meeting with the actor on his birthday.
He said, “I met him on the sets of Karan Arjun for the first time… I tagged along with my father to hang out with Kajol, not realising I was going to meet a man who would go on to shape my life, my career and my very being. His charisma and intelligence is a globally known fact but I have the privilege of witnessing his humanity and heart… An unmatchable father, a rock solid husband, a loving brother and an indispensable friend. He is all that and so much more. Love you so much Bhai. May every Mannat of yours get answered and the abundant love you rightfully deserve keep coming your way… Happy birthday.” Renowned Bengali actor Abir Chatterjee tweeted, “Embrace life… & to do so one needs to outstretch their hands… How to do that with elan, we learnt it from you Sir… Happy Birthday @iamsrk.” Yesteryear actor and famous talk show host Simi Garewal tweeted, “Happy birthday dear @iamsrk ! That you’ve weathered both storms & success with such grace is a testament to your character & dignity. You have a soul connection with millions, unlike anyone else. You have the right to be a legend. What a bright light u are SRK. Just keep shining…” Versatile actor and his Asoka co-star Kareena Kapoor tweeted, “Forever ruling Happy Birthday SRK”. Kareena’s elder sister and famous actor Karisma KKapoor posted on social media, ” Memories and moments.
