Bengaluru, June 13 (Agency) A petition has been submitted to the Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra to provide security and legal action in connection with death threats to actress Anushka Shetty’s brother Gunaranjan Shetty. The death threats are being issued by friends-turned-foes Manvit Rai and Rakesh Malli. On Sunday, Jayakarnataka Janapara Vedike (JJV) members run by Gunaranjan Shetty submitted a petition to Jnanendra in this regard.
They demanded the arrest of Manvit and Rakesh. They alleged that Manvit and Rakesh were planning to kill the actress’ brother. Manvit, Rakesh and Gunarajan were in Mutappa Rai’s gang, but separated after the don’s death. Police said Rakesh was questioned by the police in this regard. However, Manvit has rubbished the allegations saying that recently he was abroad.
