Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 12 (Agency) On the fourth day of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival (IDSFFK), 37 competition films will be screened on Sunday. The short story section will feature a Punjabi film, ‘The Salon’, ‘Chuttu’ telling the story of the door to memories, and a ‘Marathi film Weekend’, which symbolizes silent protests against gender and caste systems.
Eyeing on a weekend audience, as many as 70 films are to be screened on Sunday. Pupa, which marks an artist’s lonely mental turmoil, will be screened today. Other campus competition films to be screened today includes Burn, To Home, and Unseen Voices, which address the issues of the Dalit student community. ‘Moving Upstream: Ganga’ directed by Shridhar Sudhir, a film that traverses 3,000 km along the banks of the Ganges in six months, is also set to release today in the documentary category. Documentaries such as R for Roshan’s Childhood, Life in Stars, An Incoherent Inquiry, and Catdog will also be screened today.
