Jaunpur, Mar 25 (Agency) A youth murdered a girl’s mother and younger sister owing to one-sided love in the Nagar Kotwali area here, police said on Thursday. The bodies were recovered on Thursday and sent for a post-mortem. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajkaran Nayyar said that Pullu, son of Manai residing in the Tarapur colony of the Sadar Kotwali area, was reportedly in love with a girl residing in her neighborhood. However, the girl opposed his advances. Angry over the rejection, Pullu took away the girl’s mother, her younger sister and brother from their home, 10 days back. He called the girl’s family four days ago and told them that he would kill the trio.
Upon receiving information, police became active and arrested Pullu on Wednesday night. During interrogation, he confessed that he had murdered the mother-daughter duo and buried their bodies at the house. Acting on the information, police started digging up the house amid tight security on Thursday and recovered the bodies which were sent for post-mortem. Police have recovered the five-year-old brother of the girl safely.
