UP: 200 kg silver looted from courier company

Agra, Jan 19 (Agency) Armed miscreants looted 200 kilogram silver and one lakh rupees cash from the vehicle of a courier company in Sadar area of Agra on Wednesday. Additional Director General of Police Rajiv Krishna said that the incident occurred around 12.45 pm on Gwalior road. The silver was being brought by the employees of the courier company by car from Rajasthan.

He said that the police had been alerted throughout the districts and vehicles were being checked on all borders. Police said that the car of the courier company coming from Dholpur was intercepted by car borne miscreants, said to be four in number, at Dwarka phase two. After looting the silver the miscreants escaped from the spot. ADG Rajiv Krishna and Senior Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar Singh reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
