New Delhi, March 1 (Agency) Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested two sharpshooters after exchange of fire. Both sharpshooters had hatched a conspiracy to kill gangster Sunil alias Tillu Tajpuria and a Delhi Police constable. The police said the duo came at the behest of gangster Goldie Brar and Kala Jatheri. The police got input that a man wanted in robbery cases in Delhi, Haryana and murder in Bengaluru, would come with weapons in Alipur area with his associate at around 2:30 am, Brijendra Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer North Delhi, said.
As soon as the information was received, the police of Outer North Delhi swung into action and laid a trap near Alipur-Budhpur Road, near Tivoli Garden. At the same time, a motorcycle was seen coming from the side of Swaroop Nagar Nala Road. Seeing the motorcycle coming, the team signaled the rider to stop but he drove it away. The police team also made its own trap .After Seeing being surrounded by police, both the accused got off the bike and allegedly started firing indiscriminately at the police. In retaliation, the police also opened fire with a constant warning and after showing promptness, caught both the accused. Duo have been identified as Parvinder alias Kala (31) and Tony (22), said Yadav. During the encounter, 22 rounds were fired.
