Two held for snatching BJP leader’s mobile

New Delhi, March 15 (FN Agency) Two men have been arrested after the mobile phone of former BJP MP Vijay Goel was snatched from a street in Old Delhi and it was sold to a resident of Uttar Pradesh, police said here on Tuesday. Goel was going towards Red Fort on Monday evening. When his car reached near the Jama Masjid Metro station gate 4, a young man wearing a blue shirt and a white cap came up to him, snatched his mobile telephone from his hand and ran away.

The police scanned over 100 CCTV cameras and formed an outline of the snatcher, who was caught and identified as Sajan (22), a resident of Daryaganj. Sajan told the police that he sold the mobile to Mohd. Asif (23) of Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district for Rs 2,200. Asif was also arrested and the mobile was recovered from him.
