Puducherry, Aug 11 (FN Agency) Police arrested two youths on charges of selling Ganja at Thirubuvanai near here late on Tuesday evening. According to police, the police department has evolved a scheme “Operation Vidiyal”(Operation Dawn) to put an end to the ganja menace all over Puducherry and was implementing the same. The police got information yesterday that ganja is being sold at Thirubuvanai and police rushed to the spot.
They found a car parked in the area and on inquiry, the occupants of the car gave contradicting versions. Following this, they searched the car and seized 111 grams of Ganja and a cell phone. The arrested were identified as Hariharan (25) and Sarathkumar (22) of Kallakuruchi in Tamil Nadu, police added.
