Two held for running illegal hookah bar in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 8 (Representative) Delhi Police have arrested two men for allegedly running an illegal hookah bar. Hookahs and bills which were served to customers have also been recovered from them, police said on Monday. The cops on Saturday conducted surprise checking at Underpass Cafe Courtyard, under Defence Colony flyover where they found the bar members serving hukkas to customers. Neither the customers maintained social distancing nor covid-19 guidelines were followed.

During checking the bar, it was found 8 big and 5 small size serving hukkas illegal to customers. On inquiry, the bar manager and owner were identified as Aditya Sukhram Chaudhary (40) and Robin (32) respectively. A case was registered at Lajpat Nagar police station, claimed Esha Pandey, DCP, southeast Delhi.
