Two hard core criminals arrested, Rs.16.41 lakh worth gold , silver ornaments seized

Kakinada, Nov 16(Agency) The Central crime wing police on Tuesday arrested two hard core criminals who were involved in several house burglaries and wanted by the police of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and recovered from them Rs.16.41 lakhs worth of gold and silver ornaments. Disclosing the details of the arrests to media persons at the three town crime police station here on Tuesday, the additional SP administration wing Karanam Kumar has said that the gold jewelry seized aloneweighed 147 grams and is valued at Rs.6.61 lakhs.. Two motorcycles stolen and used by them for committing thefts and burglaries were also seized from them. Though they committed thefts in both the states, the property recovered relates to eight cases in Pithapuram police station limits, one case in Kakinada two town CCS limits, one case each under Rajahmundry and Tadepalligudem police station limits.

The additional SP gave the names of the accused as Yandapalli Suribabu of Vulimeswaram village Peddapuram mandal and Kasturi Appanna from Ulapalli village of Biccavolu mandal. Kasturi Appanna is involved in 80 cases of burglary while Suribabu is involved in 30 such cases. Under the directions of the SP Ravindranath Babu, the entire CCS team led by DSP Rambabu had strived for nearly two months and finally managed to nab them, he added. The additional SP complimented the entire CCS team including Inspectors D Govindarao, D Prasanth Kumar, M Appalanaidu, KVS Satyanarayana and sub inspectors B Tirupathirao, A Balaji, P Vijaykumar, PVRF Murty and crime detection party ASI Govindarao, Head constables Chinna, Ajay, Varma, Srinu, Babu, Kali, G Sathibabu and V Vijayakumar Babu for arresting these hard core criminals along with the stolen property moving round various places for the past two months. He said all these teams would be duly rewarded. Crime wing DSP S Rambabu who also attended said that both the accused were being sent to judicial remand.
