New Delhi, Sep 10 (Agency) Nearly a day after a robbery occurred in the Kakrola area of Dwarka, the Delhi Police Friday arrested three robbers and recovered cash and documents from them. The accused have been identified as Rohit (23) alias Chawal, who was previously involved in two cases of robbery and snatching and is a bad character of Dwarka, Amit (23) aka Ammu, who was involved in four cases of robbery and snatching and Rahul (25) alias Sher Bhadur, who was involved in one case of robbery. All are residents of the Dwarka area and have previous criminal records. On September 7, the police received one online E-FIR in which the complainant, Ankit Dubey, stated that he was returning home from his office on his bike. When he reached near Sector16A JJ Colony under the metro line Kakrola, all of a sudden three unknown persons attacked him. One of them grabbed his neck from behind and the other one punched on his face.
Meanwhile, the third person robbed his valuables and some documents and ran away. The police initiated an investigation based on e-FIR. During the inquiry, it got secret information from sources that three criminals had committed a robbery a few moments ago and were roaming near Sector16A of Dwarka. Acting on this input, the cops reached that place and apprehended three persons. During the search, cash and a brown colour purse containing some documents, Aadhar card, driving license, pan card of the complainant were recovered from them, the police said. The accused told the cops that they are habitual drug addicts and for the need of addiction they commit robbery, Santosh Kumar Meena, DCP, Dwarka Delhi, said.
