Sub-registrar held on graft charges in Telangana

Hyderabad, Jul 30 (Bureau) A sub-Registrar officer (SRO) working at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana , Gajula Devanand was arrested by ACB officials on Thursday evening. He demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant Dr Satyam Made through document writer V.Prabhakar at document writers office to do the official favour ‘ to hand over the three registered sale deeds pertaining to sold out plots’, ACB said in a release here.

The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the document writer. The SRO performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage. The Sub-Registrar along with the document writer were being arrested and produced before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACE cases, Hyderabad.
