Six Pak nationals nabbed by commandos in Gujarat’s Creek

New Delhi, Feb 11 (Agency) In a joint operation, Border Security Force(BSP), Indian Army and IAF on Friday, apprehended 6 Pakistani nationals and seized 11 fishing boats from Creek area of Gujarat. Interrogation of the apprehended Pakistani nationals is on, the BSF said. Officials said that the operation was launched on Wednesday following intelligence inputs about intrusion of Pakistani nationals in General Area of Harami Nalla in Bhuj district. Initially, the Pakistani nationals fled leaving their boats and hid themselves in the area upon which the BSF used an IAF helicopter to air drop three separate groups of commandos to deal with the hiding Pakistani nationals, officials said.

“The operation was executed with great synergy and cohesion between BSF, Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Gujarat Police and all other security agencies,” the BSF said. “Inclement weather, extreme marshy area, mangroves and tidal waters had made the task of the troops challenging,” the BSF adds. The BSF said that the air dropped commandos closed in from three different directions to reach where the Pakistanis were hiding and nabbed them. All escape routes have been plugged and a massive combing operation is still in progress, adds BSF.
