SCSC’s Cyber Security forum conducts over 225 Cyber Crimes awareness sessions

Hyderabad, June 24 (Agency) Society for Cyberabad Security Council’s [SCSC] Cyber Security Forum in association with Cyberabad Metropolitan Police has conducted over 225 Cyber Crime awareness sessions during the past 18 months. The cybercrime awareness sessions were conducted by SCSC’s Dilsey Volunteers, (who have been selected from various walks of life, majority of them are senior IT security professionals) & Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police wing to spread awareness on cyber-crimes, educating the citizens, employees of various IT companies, school children, college students, housewives & senior citizens living in gated communities and housing societies. The awareness programs have impacted more than 1.10 lakh people, Cybercrime police said in a release here on Sunday. As a proactive measure, to enhance the knowledge levels and equip the Dilsey volunteers / ISC2 volunteers with the latest frauds & changing scenarios of financial frauds, courier frauds, matrimony frauds, impersonation cases, Cyber Crimes police have conducted a day-long refresher training for them. This comprehensive refresher training program is aimed at enhancing the trainers with the latest trends in cyber-crimes.

The initiative targeted volunteers from diverse backgrounds including IT/ITES, Pharma, and homemakers, equipping them with the latest knowledge on cyber threats and essential safeguarding measures. The training program focused on imparting crucial insights into emerging cybercrime trends and practical tips for enhancing digital security. Participants gained invaluable knowledge that ranged from Digital Intelligence to the latest financial frauds and preventive steps in the digital realm. On this landmark event of having crossed 225 more awareness sessions, the event concluded with a felicitation ceremony presided over by Cyberabad Deputy Commissioner of Police, K. Narsimha to the best trainers. Speaking on the occasion, Narsimha emphasized the pivotal role of volunteers in spreading awareness and contributing to the prevention of cybercrimes. He congratulated these trainers acting in the capacity of volunteers, who are otherwise busy with their profession and thanked SCSC and ISC2 Hyderabad Chapter for their collaboration, and reiterated the Cyberabad Police’s commitment to ensuring cyber safety for all.
