Punjab: Police nabs two peddlers with 180gm of heroin

Jalandhar, Dec 16 (Agency) Special unit of the Jalandhar Commissionerate police on Thursday nabbed two drug peddlers and seized 180gms of heroin from their possession. DCP Jaskiranjeet Singh said that both the accused were stopped for checking after they tried to escape the police near Baba Budha ji Nagar canal bridge in Mithu Basti here, During search, 180gms was seized from their possession. The accused have been identified as Amit Kumar, a resident of Dana Mandi Patti. Tarn Taran and Narinder Kumar alias Rajan of village Bhindi Saida Ajnala Amritsar. Value of the heroin seized is said to be Rs 90 lakh in the international market.
