Pune police arrested MCOCA accused absconding

Pune, June 8 (FN Bureau) An initiative launched by city police in cracking down criminals on record, the Sinhgad road police station has arrested a wanted accused from Chiplun city who was booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The accused identified as Suraj Santosh Dhavale (19) was earlier booked under MCOCA was absconding from 8 months has arrested from Chiplun city which is nearly 200 kilometers away from pune, said Sr police Inspector Abhay Mahajan of Sinhagad police station. He further said Dhavale is residents of Hingane-Khurd had involved in serious crimes like attempted to murders in the past and police had booked him MCOCA act. But Dhavale was absconding since then, Said PI Mahajan. The other accomplices of Dhavale were arrested by the police, but Dhavale was fleed from city.

Elaborating further Mahajan said that Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Nikam had received confidential information about Dhavale who was hide in Chiplun in Ratnagiri district. We laid the trap accordingly and arrested the wanted accused from Ratnagiri district, police said. Mahajan said following the direction of our senior officials, our teams which includes API Nikam, Aba Uttekar, Deva Chavan went to Chiplun and arrested the accused by taking the help of local police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajendra Galande is investigating the crime further, he added. The action was taken under the Guidance of police commissioner Ritesh Kumaarr, Deputy Commissioner of Police zone three Suhail Sharma and ACP Rajendra Galande and Sr police Inspector crime Jayant Rajurkar. The other police teams also involved in arresting Dhavale are PSI Ganesh Mokashi, Aba Uttekar, Sanjay Shinde, Vikas Pandule, Vikas Bandal, Deva Chavan, Sagar Shedge, Shivaji Kshirsagar, Rahul Olekar, Swapnil Magar, Daksh Patil, Amol Patil, Amit Bodre and Avinash Konde, said Mahajan.
