Police raid on ID arrack den, destroys 250 liters Jaggery wash in AP

Kakinada, Jun 18 (Representative) The Jaggampet police, on a tip off, raided an illicit liquor den located in interior fields in Kandregula village on Thursday and destroyed 250 liters of fermented jaggery wash ready for distillation. They also destroyed the drums and utensils used for the ID liquor distillation. However, the ID Liquor brewers gave a slip to the police and search is on for tracking them, police sources said.

The police team led by Subinspector S. Lakshmi also arrested two persons- Chidatha Anjibabu and Vemisetti Nani on the outskirts of Kandregula while selling ID Liquor. A total of 35 liters of ID liquor was seized from their possession. They would be produced before the court tomorrow , the sources added.
