NIA conducts searches on sympathizers of PFI

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (Bureau) National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted searches in the houses, shops and offices of Popular Front of India (PFI) leaders and sympathizers in Nizamabad, Jagtial, Nirmal and Bhainsa of Telangana on terror suspicion. According to reports reaching here, the NIA officials divided into four groups and conducted searches at 20 places in Nizamabad.

Based on the information of Nizamabad, the NIA officials also conducted searches on Bhainsa. The NIA officials conducted searches at the house of Sheikh Mukid in Edapally Mandal of Nizamabad district. During the searches, the NIA reportedly collected details of Bank accounts, transactions and seized the Passport of Sheikh Mukid. In Jagtial, the NIA along with local police conducted searches in four houses, besides medical shops in T R Nagar. The officials also conducted searches in the Tower Circle area. During the searches, the NIA reportedly seized dairy and other important documents in both areas.
